Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
Effective date: 24 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Nile Mall collects when you use the Nile Mall app (Android and iOS) and website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If you have any question, write to us at nilemall2026@gmail.com.
1. Data we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and phone number. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, or with Google or Apple; we never see or store a password. With Google or Apple we receive the name and email address they share with us (Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your real one).
- Delivery address: the address, governorate and area you enter, and the map location you pick for it.
- Orders and returns: the products you order, prices, order history and status, cancellation and return reasons, notes you write, and any photos you attach to a return request.
- Cart: the products in your cart. If you shop without an account, your cart is linked to a random identifier on your device.
- Notifications: a push notification token for your device, its platform (Android or iOS) and the app language, so we can send you order updates in your language.
- Location: only when you choose to locate your delivery address on the map, and only while the app is open. We do not track your location in the background.
- Camera and photos: only when you choose to take or pick a photo for a return request.
Orders are paid in cash on delivery. The app does not collect your card or bank details.
2. How we use your data
- To take, prepare and deliver your orders, and to handle cancellations, returns and refunds.
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To send you order and return updates and, if you allow notifications, store offers. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
- To answer your questions and give you customer support.
- To prevent fraud and misuse and to keep the service secure.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not show advertising, we do not sell your personal data, and we do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
3. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with the service providers that help us run the store, and only what each one needs:
- Our hosting and store platform, which stores your account, addresses, carts and orders.
- Google Firebase, for push notifications and the in-app notifications list.
- Google, for Sign in with Google and Google Maps (address search and map location).
- Apple, for Sign in with Apple.
- Our image hosting provider, which stores the photos you attach to a return.
- Our email provider, which delivers your sign-in codes.
- Delivery staff and couriers, who receive your name, phone number and address to deliver your order.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it, for example to a court or a competent authority. Some providers may process data outside Egypt; we only use providers that protect it appropriately.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, saved address, cart and notifications. We keep the records of orders you placed (such as invoices) only for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and then delete them.
5. Your choices and rights
- See and correct your data: your name, phone number and address can be edited in the app at any time.
- Delete your account: in the app, open Profile → Delete account. You can also ask us by email at nilemall2026@gmail.com from the address on your account; we will delete it within 30 days. An account with an order still on its way can be deleted once that order is delivered or cancelled.
- Notifications and permissions: you can turn off notifications, location, camera and photo access in your device settings; the rest of the app keeps working.
- You may ask us for a copy of your data or object to how we use it by writing to us.
6. Security
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Your sign-in session is kept in your device's secure storage, and access to customer data is limited to the staff who need it.
7. Children
Nile Mall is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we change the effective date above, and we tell you in the app if the change is significant.
9. Contact us
Nile Mall — nilemall2026@gmail.com. We handle personal data in line with applicable law, including Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020).
